National Instruments has released the PXI Semiconductor Suite, which allows users to test semiconductor devices.
The product, which can be utilised with ADCs, DACs, ICs and microelectromechanical systems, includes four modules offering single-ended clock rates up to 200 MHz.
It also allows for data rates up to 400 Mbps, which means that engineers can test high-speed chip designs.
National Instruments revealed that the Semiconductor Suite package is optimised to run with the firm's Labview graphical system-design software and comes with four high-speed digital I/O (HSDIO) instruments and two digital switches.
As well as this, there are two enhanced RF instruments and a high-precision source measure facility, with digital vector file-importing software included too.
The company has released ten new PXI products, each offering distinct tests for mixed-signal semiconductors.
This week, Freescale Semiconductor released a new item as part of its 8-bit MCU range.
It is named S08MP16 and delivers a powerful motor control solution for industrial and automotive applications, according to the company.
