Instrument Systems has brought out a new set of calibration LEDs, which the company claims are notable for their ease of use and reliability.
The ACS-530 Series, which are designed for use with optical instruments, feature temperature-stabilised high-power LEDs, making the product different to conventional bulbs on the market, its developer has asserted.
Users are able to recalibrate photometric value in conformity with the CIE International Commission on Illumination.
The product comes in white, blue, red and green - with the bulbs housed in a low-thermal conductivity casing and cooled with the aid of a TEC element.
"Over and beyond the photometric parameters luminous intensity and luminous flux, they can also be used for checking results for dominant wavelength, colour coordinates and colour temperature," the company stated.
Instrument Systems highlighted that the calibration LEDs also have a reproducible and stable optical output power, with a photometric stability of 0.1 per cent.
The company also recently released a testing system for flash lamps, which can be used to measure solar flashes.
