A new LED projector has been launched by Samsung alongside Luminus Devices, which developers have described as an affordable solution in today's marketplace.
The LED-based front data projector will have a resolution of 1024 x 768 and is a "great illustration" of how the manufacturers have listened to customers, according to Luminus chief executive officer Keith Ward.
He described how the companies are fulfilling demand with the development of the product, since it offers value for money as well as high-quality colour depth and functionality.
Mr Ward explained: "In today's challenging economic landscape, the marketplace is asking for affordable, long-lasting, lower total cost of ownership projectors in the business and education markets."
The company pointed out that the product uses Luminus PhlatLight LEDs, which last much longer than traditional light sources and offer cost-savings in terms of the energy used.
A recent article in the Pocono Record suggested that LED lighting may become more of a necessity than an alternative, as a result of rising fuel bills in the future.
