A new range of Toshiba's TLxK LEDs have been added to the selection offered by Marktech Optoelectronies.
These red and amber series devices feature two different luminous intensities – up to 12,900 mcd on the red model and 23,000 mcd on the orange – which enables designers to reduce power consumption without compromising the high brightness levels.
As a result of these properties, the LED devices are suitable for use in a range of traffic and sign applications, Electronics Talk reports.
These include traffic management systems, pedestrian signals, traffic signals and a range of signage, such as outdoor advertising applications, indoor message signs and variable message signs.
Both the red and amber LEDs are available with viewing angles of 23 and 30 in a 5 mm round package, the news provider adds.
Meanwhile, Stephen Montgomery, president of international business at Electronicast, recently predicted that High-Brightness LEDs are likely to experience strong growth over the next five years.
