Bridgelux has launched three new LED products and claimed that they should bring down the cost of energy-efficient lighting both indoors and outdoors.
The company revealed that the release of the ES, RS and LS Array Series is designed to offer high-quality lighting solutions that can replace less environmentally-friendly products such as incandescent, compact fluorescent, high intensity discharge and halogen bulbs.
While the miniature LEDs in the LS series deliver between 240 and 360 lumens, the ES can emit 400 to 2,000 hot lumens and the RS offers between 3,100 and 4,500 hot lumens, making it ideal for outdoors and commercial lighting.
Jason Posselt, vice-president of marketing at Bridgelux, noted that the firm wants to enable widespread adoption of LED solutions by driving down the cost of such items.
He added: "With a broad range of solid-state light sources delivering performance and value to virtually all industry market segments, Bridgelux is well-positioned to help our customers meet all of their design application needs."
This week, Philips Lumileds revealed that it is now using barcode technology to allow traceability of its LED bulbs.
