A new outdoor lightbox that incorporates state of the art LED illumination technology to help save energy has been introduced by Stock Displays.
According to the firm, tests have found the device to use up to 33 per cent less energy than the traditional florescent tubes utilised by lightboxes.
Furthermore, the LEDs keep the products brighter for longer, as the bulbs provide up to 100,000 hours of illumination, compared to the 18,000 hours that previous lightboxes boasted.
This is beneficial for users in many ways, as it will help to reduce maintenance costs, as well as prove kinder to the environment in the long run.
Rosie Taylor, sales manager at Stock Displays, said: "We decided to develop them as a result of us receiving a lot of enquiries asking if we could adapt our existing lightboxes for outdoor use."
Last week, EDN noted that the components surround an LED bulb must also be of a high quality if the lighting device is to shine for as long as possible.
