LEDs may be the future of street advertising according to one manufacturer hoping to lead the market.
Litelogic believes that rotating LED boards may end up replacing paper and vinyl posters as the method of advertising.
According to AV Interactive, the company's DiscLite product will be available in the form of 33 or 53-inch panels in diameter and provide 2.34 mm resolution.
DiscLite will be on show at Media Expo Europe, which takes place at London's Earl's Court on May 5th and 6th.
Research figures from Litelogic reveal that 63 per cent of people said digital advertising catches their attention and 36 per cent of people claimed to have taken action based upon seeing digital advertising.
Proliferation of large scale street advertising is already occurring with cities such as Liverpool starting to follow the trend of London's Piccadilly or New York's Times Square.
Liverpool currently has a 31 metre by seven metre advertising screen outside Lime Street Railway Terminal, which is said to be the largest in the UK.
