A leading semiconductor solutions company has announced a joint development programme with a signal compression specialist to develop new products and applications.
Integrated Device Technology (IDT) and Samplify are linking up with the aim of creating high-quality data transmission semiconductor products and wireless infrastructure applications.
To develop new digital media offerings, the two companies will utilise Samplify's Prism compression technology.
Samplify's chief executive Tom Sparkman said he is delighted to be working with a "clear leader" in the sector and the link up allowed both companies to "jointly deliver complete wireless base station signal chain solutions".
IDT's president and chief executive Dr Ted Tewksbury also welcomed the agreement and said the company was always looking at "innovative ways to enable and optimise our customers' system architectures".
Both will give further details of the joint venture at the Embedded Systems Conference at the McEnery Convention Center in Silicon Valley starting on April 28th.
