A US lighting manufacturer is to show off its latest range of LED products.
Arrow Electronics will unveil new designs in an entirely LED lit booth at Lightfair, which takes place in Las Vegas on May 12th.
Specialising in alternatives to traditional lighting, the New York-based firm plans to not only promote products but discuss trends and opportunities that are cropping up in the sector.
The company's vice-president of vertical markets Tom Flanagan said the sharp growth and greater acceptance of LEDs meant that it is an "exciting time to be in the lighting marketplace".
He may be right, with Toshiba ditching production of incandescent light bulbs in favour LED versions and lighting technology increasingly being used in street lamps across Europe.
Furthermore, LED manufacturing as part of widescreen televisions is seeing an increase in demand for components from major manufacturers such LG and Samsung
Both those brands are branching out into 3D TVs which will go on sale in key markets over the coming weeks.
