A global provider of semiconductor test equipment has been proclaimed as one of the ten best suppliers.
California-based Advantest has earned a place on VLSIresearch's ten top suppliers, the company's 22nd consecutive appearance in the annual list.
The survey is based on feedback from customers of 95 per cent of the world's semiconductor manufacturers and marks each competing firm on 13 categories of performance criteria.
Advantest was commended for "system build quality" in its products and was also praised for "cost of ownership".
Risto Puhakka, president of VLSIresearch, suggested that its customers clearly appreciated the semiconductor firm's commitment to "high standards of quality in product development, design, manufacturing and results".
He added that Advantest's clients could recognise it is a "well-managed company" that maintains high standards in terms of research and development and production.
The company employs more than 3,000 staff across its operations in the US, Japan and Germany.
