A US optoelectronics company has launched what it describes as a "comprehensive" optocoupler product line.
California-based firm QT's new offerings range from four-pin standard operating packages up to eight-pin dual inline packages and include a number of output functions such as phototransistors, photodarlingtons and phase TRIAC.
Pete Perniciaro, the optoelectronics manufacturer's vice-president of sales, said that optocouplers are used in a variety of electronics appliances and industrial controls like power supplies, isolated communication paths, isolated power switching and safety protection.
He indicated that the new product line is available to customers with lead times of four to six weeks, shipping from its warehouses in Hong Kong and California and clients can also browse via QT's short-form catalogue.
Although its office is based in Silicon Valley, the company sees itself has having a "global presence" with more than 30 years' experience in the sector.
It describes its mission as one of building long-term relationships with its consumers and providing world-class customer service.
