A US consumer electronics brand has released a new white colour LED lighting product it claims is brighter and more efficient than its predecessors.
General Electric Lighting Solutions (GE Lighting Solutions) has updated its Tetra MAX LED range, which now offers customers 43 per cent more lumens per foot as well as giving a 43 per cent wider viewing angle than previous versions.
The company stated that its new diode-based technology offers customers uniform light while providing energy savings of 80 per cent compared with neon luminaires.
Eric Stevenson, GE Lighting Solutions' global product manager for signage, said the Tetra LED systems create prominent brand signage for businesses while being dependable and having a lifespan of up to 50,000 hours.
"Our latest technology shows our commitment to helping lighting designers and end-users get more light, with fewer materials, that offers appealing results visually, financially and environmentally," he added.
GE's wide range of business interests includes financial services, energy generation and the manufacturing of jet engines.
