Renowned electronics brand Philips Lumileds has announced the release of two new light-emitting diode lighting products, which it is claiming set new standards in terms of quality of light and energy efficiency.
The company has unveiled its latest Luxeon Rebel illumination applications designed for use in hotels, shops and restaurants as well as in residential properties.
These new emitters feature a "thin-film flip chip" and lumaramic phosphor technologies that help to reduce white colour binning and offer "superior colour uniformity" for its customers.
Furthermore, the firm suggested that they are the only power LEDs to offer "specified angle over colour performance".
Steve Barlow, executive vice-president of sales and marketing, proclaimed that Philips Lumileds is leading the way in terms of an industry transition from the semiconductor manufacturer to LED lighting industry partner.
Its diode-based business forms part of Royal Philips Electronics, which has its headquarters in the Netherlands and employs around 116,000 staff across a diversified range of interests.
