International Light Technologies (ILT) is joining forces with a food and household goods wholesaler in a bid to create a new LED refrigerated case lighting system to be installed in its 68 stores across the US.
ILT's latest diode-based product features state-of-the-art eco-friendly technology that offers lower energy consumption as well as being "extremely low maintenance" to the customer.
Furthermore, the Massachusetts-based manufacturer suggested its Caselight manages to avoid the issue of hazardous waste often associated with fluorescent luminaires, thanks to the incorporation of LEDs.
Meanwhile, the system's durable aluminium extrusion construction will protect the diodes and drivers and means there will no exposed lenses on the appliances that could crack or break.
Thom Connolly, the company's president and chief executive said he is pleased that having working with BJ's on this project, ILT have been able to develop a "quality and sturdy lighting product that has applications across a wide spectrum of uses".
The firm was established in 2005 as a result of merger between Gilway Technical Lamp and International Light, with the latter two organisations commanding 45 years of expertise in the sector.
