An LED lighting solutions firm from California has proclaimed that it played a part in a private residence achieving the highest LEED rating for eco-friendly energy usage awarded by the US Green Building Council.
Intermatix, which specialises in solid-state luminaires, revealed that its LED-based "best in class" Tubulight offered colour uniformity and high efficiency to the home owned by Diego Fonstad, which earned a platinum rating of 115.5 points.
Mr Fonstad said: "Lighting was one area where we were especially dedicated to energy efficiency - lighting usage can represent around 25 per cent of the total energy consumed in a home of this size."
Ilkan Cokgor, director of business development at the LED luminaire manufacturer, stated that he is proud that the company is associated with this achievement and said Intermatix is dedicated to providing superior quality and longevity.
The firm describes itself as an innovator in the sector enabling it to produce vivid, stable and attractive technology.
