US semiconductor firm Analog Devices has won a Best of Sensors Expo award for its iSensor.
The Massachusetts-based company's product, designed for process equipment such as turbines, robotics and industrial motors, was recognised for its cost-efficiency, accuracy and integration.
It was honoured as one of the most exciting applications featured at the Sensors Expo and Conference, which took place last week in Illinois and had been assessed on factors such as its potential impact on the market and its availability to consumers.
Melanie Martella, executive editor of Sensors magazine, suggested the award symbolised "cutting-edge solutions" in the sector.
"All of the nominations demonstrated exceptional innovation, integration and ease-of-use," she said. "We believe this year's winners will be leaders in the sensors marketplace."
Analog Devices currently serves around 60,000, representing manufacturers of different kinds of electronic equipment, describing itself as a "world leader" in signal processing and data conversion.
