ViewSonic Europe is shifting towards the use of LEDs across its entire range of computer displays, starting with three models of monitor for the UK market.
Leading the charge towards LEDs is the ViewSonic Vx2450wm, carrying a 20,000,000:1 contrast ratio and full-HD resolution to the 1080p standard.
A 24-inch three-dimensional monitor is due to be introduced soon, along with active shutter glasses to view its stereoscopic output.
James Coulson, European marketing manager at ViewSonic, says: "Our investment in LED technology with our new range of monitors is proof of our commitment to deliver a better picture using greener products to all of our customers."
He adds that the company believes that LEDs are now mature enough to deliver the level of standards desired across its entire portfolio of products.
ViewSonic operates on a set of four principles to which it is dedicated, including the use of innovative technologies and environmentally friendly operations, as well as meeting customer needs and delivering value to end-users and partners alike.
