RF Micro Devices (RFMD) has unveiled a new high-performance integrated amplifier for mobile PC and embedded applications.
The RF5616 - as it is known - operates at 4.9 GHz to 5.8 GHz in the ISM band and has dimensions of three mm by three mm.
Furthermore, it features an inter-stage power detector, reducing sensitivity to voltage supply and temperature extremes.
"Integrated harmonic attenuation eliminates the need for additional filtering, therefore optimising the efficiency and maximising output power at the transmit port," the company stated.
Meanwhile, JDSU recently announced the launch of new network capabilities for its 100GE test suite.
The optoelectronics product manufacturer claimed the device comes with a full complement of aggregation points, ensuring interoperability with different network types as standard.
