High demand for its products has led to Walsin Technology Corporation (WTC) announcing an increase in its production for the coming months.
The company is set to resume production at its plant 2 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan and will be focusing on the delivery of multi-layer ceramic-chip capacitors (MLCC), Digi Times reports.
Company president TL Tsai told the publication that demand for passive components from smartphone, DRAM and EMS segments remains strong, while adding that the third quarter will likely be a positive period for the firm.
WTC is the world's fourth largest manufacturer of MLCC, chip resistors, sensing and controlling components, high-frequency devices and modules.
It was founded in 1992 and presently spends approximately four per cent of its annual revenues on research and development.
