Tourists and holidaymakers in France will be able to see LEDs on display at one of its most famous landmarks, the Louvre Museum.
A lighting renovation project has been planned for the world-renowned building and Toshiba has announced that it has been chosen to head up the implementation of state-of-the-art LEDs.
The museum wants to replace the current xenon models, which light up the pyramids that greet visitors on their way in, with more environmentally-friendly LED fixtures offering a more subtle illumination.
A statement from Toshiba said: "Alongside environmental concerns, the Louvre must assure lighting that conveys the intrinsic beauty of the museum and its spirit as the home to some of the world's greatest art."
