Success in the semiconductors market is not purely down to a sense of innovation, according to industry analyst Rothman Research.
The organisation notes that innovation is one of two driving forces that appear to help companies to achieve success in the semiconductors industry.
However, smooth delivery of objectives is also required in order to ensure success, the market analyst adds.
"In order to succeed in the technologies market, innovation must be coupled with the smooth delivery of ideas through to the end-user," Rothman Research asserts.
Its comments are based on an analysis of broad line semiconductor firms including Analog Devices.
With its new two current-mode synchronous buck controller, the company is looking to build on a global position that already incorporates 60,000 customers worldwide.
Meanwhile, Rothman Research also notes success from ON Semiconductor and National Semiconductor in mergers and acquisitions and financial reports respectively in recent weeks.
"Headed by these two companies, the tech sector seems alive and well," the analyst comments.
