Energy Smart Industry (ESI), based in Hollywood, Florida, has developed LEDs for use in outdoor lighting, complementing its existing range of interior luminaires.
"We came up with the special outdoor LED lighting which is powerful and energy efficient, like other LED lighting offered by us," says ESI chief executive officer David Houri.
He adds that the retrofit options mean energy consumption can be reduced, while customers are also able to reduce the amount they must pay for utilities.
Each light has an estimated lifespan of 75,000 hours, meaning they should not need to be replaced for more than eight years if left on constantly.
Meanwhile, different solutions are available for different applications, allowing various outdoor environments to be illuminated.
For instance, LED-based lights for exterior use from ESI include landscape luminaires, industrial and garden variations and projector lighting.
