Online engineering community will pay expenses for winners to attend the tradeshow of their choice
CHICAGO – October 28, 2010 – element14, the first online community for electronic design engineers, is giving engineers a chance to don their social media hats with its “Roving Reporters” contest. Registrants will be asked to name the upcoming tradeshow they’d most like to attend and explain why they should be selected to cover it for their engineering colleagues in the global element14 community. Three entrants (one every two weeks) will be selected to be put “on the beat”.
element14 will provide travel expenses and Flip cams to help the winning “journalists” document and share trade show experiences for the community’s 30,000+ members. Electronic design engineers are invited to learn more and register at http://www.element14.com/community/events/2738
“The community is driven and shaped by its members, so what better way to learn about these important events than through their eyes,” comments Roger Marris, Global Head of Community, element14. “It’s also a great opportunity for them to network and learn first hand about the latest engineering trends and electronics technologies,”
Engineers utilize the element14 community’s resources to consult with experts and peers, test and review new technologies, download free design tools and discuss topics such embedded design and lighting in more than 200 groups.
