Power supply unit (PSU) manufacturer Antec is catering for top-end gamers in its High Current Pro series by sending four-figure wattages to the electrical connectors of the devices.
Of the four PSUs in the line-up, the least powerful delivers 750 W - more than twice the 350 W standard among personal computer systems for much of the 1990s.
The second-lowest rating in the range is the 850 W output of the HCP-850; however, the remaining two models pass the four-figure benchmark in terms of the power supplied to their electrical connectors.
Either 1,000 W or 1,200 W can be delivered from the HCP-1000 and HCP-1200 models respectively.
"The High Current Pro series boasts unrivalled server-grade efficiency and reliability for powering the most demanding system builds," Antec says.
Devices from the company are certified under the independent 80 PLUS designation of energy efficiency, including PSUs, chassis coolers and tower cases.
