Wireless communications device Nexus S will end its exclusive run with the Carphone Warehouse, it has been confirmed.
Instead, the Google-branded smartphone will now be stocked by Vodafone.
While Vodafone has yet to confirm when the handset will be available, it is understood it could be in UK stores as soon as March.
Some analysts believed the partnership with Carphone Warehouse was used as an experiment with its distribution model.
Interestingly, the original Nexus was tied to an exclusive deal with Vodafone in the UK.
And though it succeeded in building a cult following, the handset failed to make a splash when it was released last year.
Founded in 1984, Vodafone is the world's largest mobile telecommunications company measured by revenues and the world's second-largest measured by subscribers.
The firm operates networks in more than 30 countries worldwide. It is, in fact, the third largest company listed on the London Stock Exchange.
