It has been confirmed that Fujitsu Semiconductor Europe has signed a licensing deal for ARM's products.
Under the terms of the new strategic agreement, the company will be able to offer platforms which implement the latest Cortex A15 processor.
The agreement will bring all the latest designs to Fujitsu system on a chip platforms.
"Fujitsu Semiconductor is working to enhance its product appeal and boost its IP line-up," commented Haruyoshi Yagi, corporate senior vice president of Fujitsu Semiconductor.
He added: "One of the major ways in which we are doing so is through this comprehensive licence agreement that we have signed with ARM."
Elsewhere, ON Semiconductor has confirmed that it intends to spend $30 million (£18.54 million) to upgrade and expand its Oregon computer chip factory.
Indeed, the firm plans to add up to 70 jobs to its operation in Gresham.
The expansion is part of a $250 million investment by the Arizona company to improve its manufacturing capabilities.
