Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 will be the best selling smartphone operating system by 2015, a new report has suggested.
According to a report by Pyramid Research, Windows Phone 7 currently enjoys a share of less than ten per cent of the market.
Android is the best seller at present, with a 45.4 per cent of the market. However, the firm said it expects this disparity to be overturned in the next few years.
The Pyrmaid Research report said: "Inexpensive smartphone models, particularly those from Huawei and ZTE, also will be in high demand in some of the richest Western European, Asian and North American markets.
"Their low price will suit shaky economic conditions in markets such as Spain, Italy, Greece and Portugal, as well as first-time smartphone buyers everywhere."
Earlier this week, LG Electronics announced the adoption of the world's first three dimensional AR browser on the soon-to-be-released LG Optimus 3D smartphone.
Using the Wikitude 3D browser, consumers can enjoy better interaction and engagement with real-time user environments, the Wireless Federation has reported.
