In news that might be of interest to wireless communication device manufacturers, Research In Motion has unveiled two new BlackBerry Bold smartphones.
The new devices, the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and the 9930, feature a design that integrates a BlackBerry keyboard with a high resolution, and capacitive touch screen, which are built on a new platform powered by the BlackBerry 7 operating system.
"The new BlackBerry Bold smartphones and BlackBerry 7 OS are inspired by millions of customers around the world who want the ultimate combination of performance, functionality and style," commented Mike Lazaridis, president and CEO of Research In Motion.
He added: "These fully-loaded and beautifully crafted smartphones offer a highly refined user experience with blazingly fast performance, a brilliant touch screen and an outstanding typing experience."
Founded in 1984, Research In Motion is a Canadian telecommunication and wireless device company. It is, of course, best known as the developer of the BlackBerry smartphone.
