Fairchild Semiconductor, a leading global supplier of high performance power and mobile products, has announced the appointment of Terry Klebe to the company's board of directors.
Mr Klebe was senior vice president and chief financial officer of Cooper Industries plc from 2002 until announcing his retirement in February 2010.
He has also held senior executive management roles at Cooper in information technology, operations and finance, and before that was a partner with Ernst & Young LLP.
"We are fortunate and delighted that Terry Klebe is joining our board," Mark Thompson, Fairchild's chairman, president and CEO, said.
He added: "Terry is an extremely knowledgeable and experienced financial executive and organisational leader, and his skills and expertise will be a great addition to Fairchild Semiconductor."
The 56-year-old holds a degree in accounting from the University of North Dakota and is a former certified public accountant.
In addition to this, Mr Klebe is a former president of the Houston, Texas, chapter of Financial Executives International.
