Wireless communication device customers and manufacturers might be interested in claims that the fashion for phones changes very quickly.
The iPhone started a trend of touch screen Smartphones, according to Flora Graham, mobile phone editor for CNET UK, who said it is only going to get "bigger and bigger".
"Right now," she said, "all of the other manufacturers are still playing catch up to the iPhone a little bit, so I do expect the iPhone to stay strong as Apple releases new versions to the iPhone that will probably have even more exciting features."
Earlier this week, Vodafone revealed the details of its newest Android based handset.
Expected to launch early this summer, the Vodafone Smart is a light weight Android 2.2 Froyo-based device and is to replace the Vodafone 845 handset.
The new device boasts a 2.8 inch capacitive touch screen and a two-mega pixal camera and comes with an updated version of Froyo, which runs faster than previous versions of Android operating system.
