Wireless communication device customers may be interested in the views of one industry expert regarding mobile phone contracts.
Flora Graham, mobile phone editor for CNET UK, has claimed it is better to pay for the latest phones upfront if consumers are after a short contract.
She explained that the latest phones can be really expensive to buy upfront, which means most people try to get them subsidised on contract.
"They should still try to pay as much as they can upfront because overall they'll pay less over the course of the contract; so it still applies that the more you can pay upfront, the less you'll have to pay per month," Ms Graham remarked.
"Do shop around, there are some great websites that compare contracts and phones so if you don't mind switching from one network to another, there are often some really good deals."
CNET UK is a technology review website, which features product reviews and ratings, technology news, gadget blogs, technology videos and help and how-to features.
