Wireless communications device manufacturer Huawei has confirmed that it has signed a pan-European frame work agreement with Crewe-based distributor 20:20 Mobile.
Under the terms of the agreement, 20:20 will supply Huawei smartphones, tablets, dongles and mobile Wi-Fi hotspots across Europe.
The deal comes shortly after Huawei's announcement that it will introduce a range of its own branded smartphones and tablets sometime this year.
"Europe is a vitally important market for Huawei going forward," explained Huawei device vice-president Wang Jiading.
"Huawei will launch a range of high-end smartphones and tablets under its own brand in 2011, and it is crucial for us to partner with a distributor who can expand our retail channels, and add real value to our proposition in the process."
Meinie Oldersma, 20:20 Mobile chief executive, explained that Huawei's ambition in the market made it an exciting company to work with, adding: "Its research and development resource and partnership-approach will distinguish it in the market as it moves forward."
