Wireless communications device manufacturer Motorola has confirmed that its new Wilder budget smartphone, targeted at teenagers, will be on sale from July from Carphone Warehouse.
The new device features a small notification bar at the bottom of the screen, which gives connectivity and battery notifications.
Furthermore, the Motorola Wilder boasts a 2MP camera with video recording capabilities as standard.
It comes with pre-loaded apps for Facebook, Twitter and MySpace, as well as popular games such as Tetris, Need for Speed and Game of Life.
Meanwhile, the new HTC ChaCha smartphone was recently made available in the UK via Three.
The ChaCha is fitted with a vibrant 2.6-inch touchscreen display and a QWERTY keypad.
Sylvia Chind, head of devices at the phone network, commented: "Not only will our customers be able to access their favourite Facebook features at the touch of a button, but coupled with Three's all-you-can-eat data they can surf their favourite site without having to worry about going over any internet allowances."
