In news that may interest wireless communication device manufacturers, Research In Motion (RIM) has confirmed that it will launch their tablet 'Playbook' in India on June 22nd.
RIM has sold over 250,000 of its Playbook device in the first month of its launch, a report has confirmed.
The Playbook went on sale in Canada and the United States on April 19th and is likely to be unveiled on June 20th in Australia.
According to RBC Capital Market, the device is targeting to meet their sale targets of half million sometime by the end of 2011.
In other industry news, HTC has confirmed recently that its sales for May reached £860 million, more than double the same month a year earlier.
The monthly sales of the Taiwanese firm compared with £400 million a year ago and £820 million in April.
Ever since HTC started to predominantly produce handsets for Google's Android mobile operating system, it has seen sales improve dramatically.
