The third generation of Motorola's Android-powered Droid smartphone has been launched in the US, rival wireless communication device manufacturers may be interested to learn.
Otherwise known as the Milestone in Europe, the device features a 4" qHD display as well as a five-row slide-out QWERTY keyboard, the Independent has reported.
Running on Google's Android 2.3 mobile operating system, the Milestone also boasts an 8MP camera with 1080p video recording, 3G mobile hotspot connectivity and a Mirror Mode which allows you to share photos and videos with a larger display.
It has been announced that the device will be available for $199.99 on a two-year contract or in Verizon Wireless stores from July 14th, wireless communication device users may be interested to learn.
Nokia, meanwhile, recently cut the prices of its smartphones in Europe, according to Reuters.
The news provider cited information from industry analysts.
A company representative declined Reuters request to comment on the report, but said the "changes were part of its normal business."
