Apple's dominance in the tablet market shows no signs of waning, according to Stuff magazine.
Will Findlater, editor of Stuff magazine, observed that the success of the iPad range means that "Apple still certainly has a stranglehold".
"It has the best combination of hardware and software available at the moment," he remarked. "At the moment the Android app roster specifically for tablets is way behind what the iPad has. Because of the software on the App Store it can do so much more than any Android tablet."
He added that until other platforms can rival the iPad's roster of apps, he does not forsee any rival wirless communication device rival manufacturers make a dent.
IHS, the market research firm, recently predicted the continued dominance of Apple's iPad range in the tablet market until 2013.
In other industry news, Motorola has confirmed that it will bring its Fire smartphone to the UK next month.
The new Fire model is designed for users wanting the combination of a touchscreen and a physical Qwerty keyboard.
