Nokia has confirmed that its new N9 handset has begun shipping to customers and stores, wireless communication device users may be among those interested to learn.
The new phone, the manufacturer explained, is specifically designed for consumers who appreciate exceptional design and cutting-edge technology.
"Since we announced the Nokia N9 in June this year, the feedback that it has gotten from discerning and avid smartphone users across the world has been nothing short of fantastic," Ilari Nurmi, vice-president of marketing at Nokia, commented.
He added that the Nokia N9 represents the "first in a number of products from Nokia that will be brought to life in similar fashion".
In other industry news, Samsung Electronics announced recently that it is to launch a new smartphone utilising Microsoft's Windows operating system.
The electronics giant announced the upcoming release of the Omnia W, a handheld device which will be powered by Windows Phone Mango software.
