When I sat down to make a holiday card this year, I was looking at a pile of dev boards on my work table.

They’re an echo of my life, I thought.

And during this time of stillness, I could see my world reflected on them. Some lights in the room.

I thought it might be cool to actualize the concept.

Put your caption ideas in the comments below! You have until December 31st to put in your ideas!

The winner wins…

...their caption on the comic. image

For those wondering, I drew a comic series a few years ago to lampoon the news coming out.

See some of the comics here: Engineering Life

The Rise of the Machine by Cabe Atwell circa 2020. What the artist is portraying cleverly in this painting and the use of almost monotone colours is the  binary nature in these Single Board Computers whilst they are seemingly randomly scattered that in itself shows they are creating an upward form, rising if you will. The operators believing they are in control looking at the TFT displays whilst the AI cores of the Beaglebone and Nano Sense actually deriving their own control of the system in hand. The soft effect of the brush stokes are juxaposed to the fuzzy logic running on the hardware.
