How Are You Using AI in Engineering (If at All)?

AI is changing the way people work but what about engineers and technical professionals like you? We’re starting a discussion to explore if, how, and why (or why not!) engineers are using AI in their daily workflows.

We’d love to hear your thoughts on any of the following:

Do You Use AI Tools?

    That totally makes sense, sounds like you've had some frustrating experiences with it. Was that with general purpose tools, or something more domain specific?

    I’m curious, is there anything AI could do in your workflow that might change your mind, or is it more a case of “tried it, not worth the hassle”?

     One exemple is when I asked why Gecko chose a Darlington device as the in.flow sensor in their in.xe packs I was answered there is no way a transistor could be used as a flow sensor and they used a pressure switch in the in.xe. That was with general purpose AI. It could be useful for reverse engineering and documenting orphaned or defunct devices. That is if it worked correctly.
