I love what the humble bundle do, there's a lot of affordable software, most of it almost industry grade, and also computer games - at the moment I'm eyeing up the Network and Security bundle and I upload them to my Amazon Kindle using calibre with all the right metadata.

The current bundle has a lot of great books for Tech and Electronics, if you've picked up a Make bundle before you might have some of them though, here's what's on offer:

Has anyone made anything from these? I keep meaning to do wearable electronics with some conductive thread I have, I had an idea for a capacitive touch punch bag which would pick up on pressure, force, etc. for working out with. What do you think?

Not specifically a project in the Make: More Electronics, but one of the requirements for most experiments is a 5V or 6v regulated input.  The book just has you pulling out the LM7805 and swapping for a LM7806, and vice-versa.  I actually created a switched supply with a 5V, 6V and Vin (as provided by a wall wart or similar, e.g. 9V or 12V).  It uses a relay to control the regulated output as a switch is thrown.  All put in a project box.

One of the projects in the Make: Electronics book is for a ‘random’ die represented by 7 LEDs .  I extended this to be two dice, two push buttons, one for each player, and two 7-segment displays to keep score.  The idea is to ‘throw’ the dice and if they match, the first to press their button wins and their score increments.  I used logic chips to detect and confirm a match so if a button was pressed incorrectly no score incremented.  Also, as a button was pressed it locked out the other player so no double score was possible.  Used AND, OR, NAND and XNOR chips extensively.  I even managed to debounce the button presses.  I was going to have it decrement if a player pressed incorrectly and to flash the LEDs for the player first to 10 but I ran out of breadboard space and logic chips!

They are good books for beginners although a bit out of date as not all the ICs used are readily available, although I found it was possible to swap for others and tweak the circuit - just took a bit of thinking about.

I have some conductive thread waiting to be used also :-).  Maybe we need a wearables contest.
