Honoring John Conway

I remember playing the Game of Life back in the 80's. If you have a couple of hours to spare this looks like an interesting course to create a browser based version using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I'm going to give it a try tonight - it will bring back a lot of memories.

I seem to remember first reading about it in Scientific American and did a search just now. Their article was published in 1970 and can be found here But I also remember running it in Basic which would have been sometime in the early ‘80s. It was quite remarkable to see it run at the time.
