The Z80 is still manufactured today and I was wondering whether there is any interest for a community or discussion group.
Hoping this still gets to you since this thread is old.....I have a question for you about the z80 which I do intend to use for some retro projects.
the new eZ80's..... they dont' have an M1 pin but they do have an INSTRD pin ( both active low) I am assuming this is doing the same thing?

I have a bunch of eZ80's - they're good stuff!
You hit the nail on the head!
Just be aware that the eZ80 can have different instruction timing.
