Every year companies that recognise the potential and capabilities of Communities get together and identify and award Communities that're run by businesses.
You may or may not be aware (I wasn't, go figure) that there are lots of Communities ran by businesses and they're not all customer facing or focused, there are communities within companies purely for employees, there're ones intended purely for technical support, for social support, and all sorts beyond simply being for and on social media (where some have certainly migrated to).
To acknowledge these platforms, the staff and the companies behind them, there are groups who acknowledge and identify those communities and give them awards for different reasons.
An example is recently the element14 Community won an award with the CRNetwork for the #badass Online Film Festival competition.
Awards such as this help us to demonstrate to our management that you as members make a difference and help us to keep running the Community.
The CMX Hub are running another set of nominations, and we're at least under the 'External Engagement' category (which means that we support members of the public like you!"), if you would register and look through the nominations and vote for your element14 Community that would be fantastic!
