Have you published your own book(s) or had your content published in one?

As the element14 Community we're doing an article/press release on our members, whom have gone on to publish your projects that you've shared or created on the element14 Community and then either published, or had published, a book on the project, your work, or topics, blogs, etc.

For example "Vintage Upcycling With Raspberry Pi and Arduino" from balearicdynamics !

We'd like to include any members in the article who'd be interested in being a part of the press release and it would give you advertising for the book and its content as well.

Please do be a part of this and let us know about what you've been involved in!

Hello Chris, thank you for this great idea! Should we send an email with references and material of the published / in publishing books (in which Element14 is also involved as the one you mention)?

    Cheers. Enrico

Replies to this thread are also accepted where it makes sense to, if people have information they don't want directly associated with their username, but are happy to have their real names mentioned in combination with the element14 Community then direct message me and we can sort something out.

    Hi Christopher,

I would be glad to help.

So far I have about nineteen books out self published through Lulu.com.

Most of the time they made it very easy to put a book together and then get it to a wide market place.

So far I have sold books in about fourteen different countries.

I write for a few tutorial type articles for computer magazines. Linux systems and Raspberry Pi's have been the focus. I have also done a few application related tutorials. A few of the projects I have discussed in blog posts on the site. I have also shared a few of the article (writer's copy) with members that have a particular interest in the subject matter.

I've not book published so the freelance writing may not be of interest.

    Hi Christopher,

My book was released here on element 14 about two years ago and several of my friends requested copies. Due to printing costs for an actual in hand book and a limited potential customer base it was impractical to market. Here is a link to my original release posting.

    Thanks for your interest.

    Hey John image

The way I got around that with my self published work was using Amazon Self publishing...That way I could set the price for a certain time and send my friends/family the link and then increase or decrease the price as needed. I could also set it for free to download on Kindle for anyone just wanting a digital copy too!
