Personally I use CherryMusic on the Raspberry Pi, but there is a ton of options out there if you have a touchscreen as well there is also a jukebox option out there to have your screen look like a jukebox but I haven't played with that yet.
if you are just wanting to stream spotify tho I would just install chromium media edition add the spotify addon to the browser and then have the desktop shortcut edited to launch with media edition and then have that as the dashboard.
All depends what you want. For playing your music library then cherrymusic if for using with a streaming service then I would install spotify that way then.

I did an Wikipedia lookup of Internet Radio. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_radio It is not a term I have used but, it appears it is a service I take advantage of regularly.
I have been using the Chromium browser to access a radio station that streams over airwaves, as well as the Internet. I tried streaming the content without a browser but I can't figure out the nuances to get around the Stingray content provider. The browser embedded player appears to negotiate the connection and commit to the copyright to stream the content.
The Pi shares an input on the television. A change of the input with the TV remote brings up Raspberry Pi desktop and the native browser. Remote keyboard with touch pad is the interface used to click on the bookmarked link to play audio.
