Found some old Audio USB IC’s

Hey Guys,

 

while I was cleaning out my old workshop a few years back I found some old USB audio ics when tidying up.  Looks like they were samples I had order for a project I never completed.  So I am looking for a few suggestions, on what I should look at making they are PCM2902EPCM2902E ic’s from Texas Instruments https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/pcm2902.pdf

 

I think I have about 5 of them in the packet.

 

Wwant to know what people can suggest.

  • They are a complete stereo audio solution. Including the USB physical layer.

    Page 30 of the datasheet has the simplest circuit for your version.

    One IC, a chrystal and a set of passive components. At the output you need low pass filters and amplification.

     

    It would be a retro effort. The standards in the IC are aged, and TI flags it as not recommended for new designs.
