Hi my name is Greg from South Africa, have studied electronic engineering some 20 odd years ago and specialised in telecommunications field. Currently I am on an electronic records management project, and miss the electronics field. I’m very interested in the CNC/3D printing technology  and the way it works and planning to build my own, CNC and 3D printer.

Also you can share your projects as well to let others know what your up to.

Hi Reza,

I'm actually the opposite I started in the hardware and am trying to learn the software end of the boards. Some other boards besides the Raspberry Pi other boards might help bridge the gap are the Cypress PSoC4 Pioneer and/or any of the Aruduino boards.

Welcome to the Community! I can only imagine on how you have seen the Telecom industry change in your time.

If you haven't seen in yet we have a 3D Printing Group with a lot of users that have varying experience with 3D printing. Also ending on June 6th we have a Road Test for a Printbot Jr. 3D Printer. 

For the Road Test Group it lets element14 members get a chance to test products. A lot of times they are things that are not even for sale yet or stuff that we can't keep on the shelf. This is all FOR FREE. All that is ask that if you are chosen to test the product is to write a review about the product and let everyone know the good and bad things about the product.

Hey, my name is Jonathan. I am an aerospace engineer currently trying to get into graduate school. I am interested in autonomous controls and currently developing my own quadcopter to play with. Electrical engineering was never my forte however theory without any application can get dull.
