Trying to fix something with a component I am struggling to find, help welcome?

Hi there folks I'm fairly new here to the community and I wasn't sure where abouts to post this.

At the moment myself and a friend are fixing up an airsoft Aliens Pulse Rifle and the LED ammo counter has stopped working, now I've searched every where for this component and I am really struggling to find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am not normally into this kind of thing.

I am after 12 pin, 2 digit, 7 cell, led display in red,2cm by 2.5cm (approx.)

this ones at farnell. a LUMEX - LDD-HTF304NI - DISPLAY, 7 SEGMENT, RED, 7.62MM. it has 7 segment lines common to both dispays (no DP) and 2 common cathode lines, giving 9 lines. google in that direction…

google in that direction and see how you go.
no doubt 2 of your 12 pins are either N/C or connected to other pins.
