Hello everyone! I just discovered this group a few days ago and joined, so I thought I would introduce myself. I started building circuits as a teen ager (maybe pre-teen), mostly from kits such as Heathkits, Edu-Kit, and designs in Popular Electronics. I'm proud to still have and use my Knight Kit analog VOM that I built 50 years ago! (attached). While I'm an EE by education, my career has taken many twists ad turns and I am now an optical fiber engineer by vocation. Anyway, I've decided to renew my interest in antique vacuum tube radios which is what brings me here. I'm very interested in Ben Heck's Portable Electronics Workbench I saw here, that I think I would find incredibly useful in repairing/restoring old radios. I'd buy that in a heartbeat if I could find one for sale.
So that's what brings me here, but I'm also very interested in almost all new technology.
Jim
