I originally started electronics over 35 years ago as a hobby, finally gaining a degree in Applied Physics with Electronics in the late '80s. I then spent the next 20+ years working in computer software starting as a programmer and working up the ranks latterly working as a Solution Architect specifying software and hardware requirements for serious projects.
I now have more time to return to my hobby and find physical computing the most stimulating area.
One thing I have found really interesting recently is FPGAs - fits nicely into my logic thinking and microelectronics degree background.
I find the Element 14 community both interesting and informative and look forward to a future of interaction.
